As I said yesterday, rustic furniture was definitely a popular choice at the Dallas and Las Vegas Markets. The rustic teak furniture caught buyers eyes throughout both shows. In our line of furniture, we create pieces that fit within different styles. This way you aren’t simply provided just western furniture or just lodge furniture.
Our furniture is a generous blend of rustic, western, transitional, rustic contemporary, and lodge pieces. The rustic look is popular among many different motifs. It simply has to be designed correctly to fit into particular settings. This is why at furniture shows, we attract various types of buyers. Our line is not limited to one style and that has been one of the main reasons people continuously look to us as their provider for all things rustic.
Today I am going to expand upon our latest collection, the Aynsley Collection. You may be able to tell by the name, that I have designed this collection. When I look over our line of rustic furniture I am constantly wondering how I can take it to the next level. I want to give our furniture something that will make it stand out in your store, client’s home, or commercial projects.
Of course the ruggedness of our rustic teak furniture line is one of the most fascinating aspects of our line. The furniture is made from recycled teak wood and includes antique farm implements in its construction. Therefore, the furniture’s construction, uniqueness, and handmade touches easily make it an eye-catcher to clients.
Well, what better way to bring out the ruggedness of our teak wood furniture than to juxtapose it with upholstery. I have stayed within the bounds of rustic by adding brown/white, black/white, and brindle cowhides to the backs of chairs, while the seat is covered in a rich brown leather.
With this in mind, I created some dining chairs and a rocking chair that combine the rustic qualities of the wood with the softness of natural cowhide. However, if you have projects or clients that are desiring a different look other than cowhide, we can do custom orders as well.
This has been a long-anticipated collection and I am glad to say that we are the first to develop this combination in our designs. I look forward to designing more upholstered furniture in the future and I have a few ideas for the upcoming markets this Summer.
Rustic furniture is a popular choice at the furniture markets. During the Dallas and Las Vegas Market, rustic furniture was a top pick among designers, stores and commercial accounts. Our rustic teak furniture for western, ranch, barn, lodge, cabin, and rustic motifs were what shoppers were looking for.
The upholstered hair and leather pieces from the Aynsley Collection caught the eye of many buyers. Some people were drawn to the lodge settings, others went straight for the wagon wheel western look, and then there were those who found the organic root furniture mesmerizing. Overall the Dallas Market and Las Vegas Market were a great way to keep buyers updated on where our line is headed next.
Well, I must say, it feels like forever since I have been able to sit down and write. This is refreshing. I am sure you know how it is. Work can get overwhelming sometimes and in the end you just can’t get everything done. Well, now that the markets have slowed down for a bit, I can get back to sharing tips and thoughts with you about the rustic teak furniture world.
Over the next few blogs I thought it would be helpful to you if I went through some of the top sellers from both of the markets. This way you can be up-to-date on which pieces are a guaranteed sell. I try to study people’s purchasing decisions at the markets in order that I can design furniture that people are searching for. So, over the next few entries I will expand on which pieces and motifs people were focused on.
I hope that this insight helps you with your next purchase. Maybe you will stick with the popular pieces or venture out and see what you can do. Either way, rustic teak furniture will be a great choice.

We are more excited than ever about this show. During our last Dallas Market back in the summer we debuted all new bedroom furniture, several new dining chairs, and new benches. All of these pieces have done very well over the past six months.
This was very exciting for me as a designer. It is always great to put your designs out on the market. I have enjoyed getting feedback from all of you. Things to do:
Get Ready For The Total Home & Gift Market and the Dallas Market Center:
January 16 - 22.
This is pretty much how my “things thing to do” list is panning out. All focus, time and effort are going into the quickly approaching show.
But before I get completely caught up in work and an overflowing plate, let me just say that I hope each and everyone of you has had a wonderful Christmas season and happy New Year.
I was blessed to be able to step away from the office and studio and relax in the mountains of Colorado. It gave me the perfect amount of time to clear my head and begin brainstorming for the future. I hope you were able to do the same. We all truly need a break from work every now and then.
And here’s where we are: Ready for the new year, excited about the endless possibilities and anxious to see how far we will fly.
I am more than excited about this upcoming year. I am getting ready to celebrate my first year with AdenWorks. Now that its been a year I am ready to stretch my wings in a huge way.
This year holds a great deal of excitement for AdenWorks. We are starting the year off with a bang at the January Dallas Market, so I do hope you can come. AdenWorks will definitely catch your eye.
The show begins in 13 days, so over the next 2 weeks I will be focusing on shows, particularly the Dallas Show so you will be ready when you get here.
For all of you store owners out there I am sure you have been gearing up for this holiday season for quite some time now. You have probably been putting up the little twinkling lights in your store windows, hanging some wreaths, and maybe have even tackled a Christmas tree. Anyway you look at it I am sure you have put a lot of effort into your store and now you are anxiously awaiting a profitable month.
As we all know, in order for success this season it is critical to offer what the buyers want. I have found that during this November/December season, people order a lot of dining tables. Some are smaller while others are ordered to accommodate the huge number of family members for the special meal. People are always in need of tables, chairs, and benches for dining settings when the family comes to town.
Whenever the holidays roll around people become very aware of their furniture needs. Whether that be more seating around the dinner table, a dining table, more seating in the family room, more storage space in the bedrooms, benches for the porch, etc. Whatever their needs, you want to be able to fulfill them.
If you haven’t had a chance to glance over our website, definitely check it out at AdenWorks We have many different styles of tables which are sure to catch your client’s eye. We have small circular tables which are a great place for the children or a more intimate dinner for four. For large families we offer tables up to 118” long. We have all different shapes and sizes. We have extender, drop leaf, glass, and solid wood tops. Each of our tables is made from recycled teakwood so they are eco-friendly and very durable. In fact some of our tables are constructed from genuine wagon wheels for all of you Western lovers. Our tables truly make the perfect centerpiece for family gatherings.
Our goal here at AdenWorks is to help you offer your clients the best products possible. We are committed to supplying you with the most durable and stunning rustic teak furniture. So whether you carry lodge, rustic, western or rustic contemporary furniture we would love to be Your Provider For All Things Rustic.
I know that for the last several blogs I have been going through what buyers desire from their rustic furniture vendors. Today I will review that last request that buyers have. To have all the qualities that I have discussed in your vendor would be awesome for sure. But, last and certainly not least, an important factor is your relationship with the vendor.
Having a good relationship with your clients and with your vendors is what makes the rustic furniture business so enjoyable. Life is all about making friends along the way, so why not make that a policy at work as well.
I am sure that each one of you wants to create a warm environment in your store. You want potential and current clients to enjoy their shopping experience. You also hope that they feel comfortable to ask you questions or get advice on different pieces. You want your clients to continue coming to your store for their rustic, lodge, and western furniture needs, so you will strive to build a relationship with them.
At AdenWorks we all think the same way you do. We like to know our clients beyond what they typically order. I have had the opportunity to get to know clients very well. I have been privileged to meet their kids and have been invited over for dinner. We truly do care about your needs and desires and the only way we can understand those is to better understand you.
We focus on customer service here and we want your purchasing experience to be enjoyable. Basically we want you to have fun while you are shopping for rustic furniture.
Obviously, receiving a low freight quote on your rustic furniture purchase is very important, but it is also important to know how long it will before an order is shipped. The length of time between when the order is placed to when the order ships is critical.
It would be ideal that when any of us place an order we would receive the product immediately, but most buyers know that this is typically not the case. Here at AdenWorks, our goal is to get the furniture you need to you as quickly as we can. The faster we can get the furniture in your hands, the faster you can sell it.
Usually vendors do not keep every item they carry in stock, so it is good to be aware of what items your vendor stocks and then items that are more of a special order. This knowledge will be very beneficial to you because it will help you determine how you need to order.
AdenWorks offers a wide variety of lodge, western, rustic, and contemporary rustic furniture. Therefore, we do not keep each and every item in stock. However, we do bring in containers regularly to make sure that we are constantly updating our inventory. If you are a store that moves a high volume of specific products, we try to keep a good stock on those items so that you can receive them quickly.
Our customers have been very satisfied with out turnaround. We work very hard to consistently keep product moving to and from our warehouse.

The AdenWorks staff would like to wish all of you a safe and happy Halloween. We hope you have fun tonight with the little ones. I still need to go out and buy some candy. The only problem is I usually eat half of the chocolate before I even begin handing it out to all the kids. Guess we will see what happens tonight. Either way, I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful and fun filled evening.

It’s true, freight can be quite intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be the enemy. Understanding freight as a whole, and then understanding freight as it relates to your vendors can be extremely benefitial to you.
How should the products be shipped?
AdenWorks always wants to get you the lowest price when it comes to shipping. We will receive quotes from several companies in order to find you the best price. The size of the order typically determines if it should be shipped Common Carrier or Blanket Wrap. We have great relationships with the companies we use, and we also receive discounts on our Common Carrier shipments.
Do you charge extra for freight?
AdenWorks does not make any money off of freight. We give you the exact price we are quoted. Beware of this though. Many companies make a lot of money off of freight. Their furniture prices may be low, but they make their money when it comes to shipping. This is not our policy.
Are you in a good location for shipping?
Our warehouse is located in Dallas, TX so we are located in the middle of the country. Our location is especially good for catalog companies whose clients are spread out throughout the US.
What if my shipment is damaged during transit?
Each shipment is thoroughly inspected before it leaves our warehouse so if there is damage, it has occurred during transit. If your order is damaged a claim needs to be filed. AdenWorks is committed to helping you file claims. We work very hard with claims to ensure that you are refunded.
We also are committed to following up with our clients. Once your order has been shipped we will contact you in the following week or so to make sure that everything has arrived and you are satisfied. (Of course, this does not apply to catalog companies.)
So, as a follow up, AdenWorks
- Finds you the cheapest quote
- Does not make money off of freight
- Is ideally located in the middle of the country
- Helps with filing claims
- Committed to quality customer service
