Now, the most popular piece this summer was actually a furniture setting. Once again, we had trouble keeping enough of these in stock because they were such a hot item this summer. And that hot item would be our Wind River Bistro Set and Side Ash Barstools. This bistro table is magnificent with the stain. Between each genuine wagon wheel spoke is inlay displaying the beauty and color variation of the teakwood. This table is a beautiful piece with its wagon wheel top and striking base. When you pair the Side Ash Bar Chair with the Wind River Bistro Table you have the perfect combination.  This Side Ash Bar Chair is a beautiful handcrafted chair which has wagon wheel spokes and ox bows incorporated into its design. The end result is a stunning chair with an equally stunning table.

I can’t believe how fast the summer has flown by. Before you know it school will be starting up again! I am sure all you parents out there can’t wait. Before summer turns into fall I wanted to let you all know that most popular piece for the summer. This summer it is actually a setting that caught everyone’s eye. While AdenWorks has shipped a variety of pieces across the United States there were three pieces that proved the most popular over the last few months.

Before we get into this summer’s winner, let’s start with the runner up. This year our runner up is a very well-known and highly appreciated styled known for its distinct lines and exaggerated pitch. This summer’s runner up is our Adirondack Garden Chair. This is a beautiful rugged twist on the traditional styled Adirondack chair. This piece is composed of recycled teak wood and plow handles to create one-of-a-kind pieces, each with their own distinct personality. The beauty of this chair is appreciated because of the multiple pieces of teak wood used to compose the piece. The wood grain and color variations change from each piece of wood.  Not only do we offer this beautiful chair, but we also have a Adirondack Bench which compliments the Adirondack Garden Chair quite nicely. We had a hard time keeping these pieces in stock this summer. Every time we got another shipment in, they were sold almost immediately.

With Father’s Day only a few weeks away, it’s time to start thinking about the perfect gift for the men in your life – your husband, father, grandfather, brother or friend.

This year, help your customers think outside of the box when choosing a Father’s Day gift. A rustic outdoor teak furniture piece would be an ideal gift that can be passed down through generations of fathers.

Father’s Day is a time to celebrate the important role dads play in all of our lives. And what better way to celebrate than with a gift as unique as he is.

Over the years, AdenWorks has worked hard to improve our products. We want to offer you the best teak fine furnishings available. To that end, one of the main things we have devoted ourselves to is our stain.

Teak is one of the most beautiful woods available. There are several things that make teakwood so appealing. To begin the wood grain is flat out stunning. I love to step away into the warehouse from time to time to observe the teak. Some of the most prominent places to observe our teak is on our table tops, especially the Bardean Table. This table is made from old disregarded barn wood planks which have been crafted into table tops. For me personally, this is my favorite table to top to examine because of the amazing wood grains running along the planks. That patters and movement created are breathtaking.

The second characteristic of teak making it so desirable is its color palette. You see teakwood is made up of several different tones and colors. In one single piece of teakwood you can have colors ranging from blondes, browns, reds and blacks.

The combination of the swirling grain patterns along with the four-toned color palette creates magnificent, one-of-a-kind pieces of fine furniture.  What I have just described is not only the most amazing aspect of teak, but also one of the most challenging. And that leads us to the stain.

You see, with all the various colors within teak, finding the perfect stain to enhance and complement each of these hues can be quite the challenge. So, for quite some time AdenWorks has been testing, developing and perfecting our stain. Needless to say, throughout the process we learned a lot and we made a lot of changes.

The biggest change is that AdenWorks developed its own custom stain and staining process. After a great amount of time testing and perfecting we developed a stain that truly enhances teakwood. Our furniture finish is like no other on the market. Now the teakwood grain and various color tones are enhanced by our custom stain making the furniture more beautiful than before.

Secondly we changed the way our stain is applied. Every piece of furniture is now stained in our Dallas-based warehouse to ensure the highest level of quality control. So every piece of AdenWorks furniture receives a great deal of attention before it is sent out to you because every piece is hand-stained by our craftsmen.

For the past 10 years, AdenWorks has received hundreds of compliments on our teak furniture, but I can honestly say that our furniture has never looked better than it does now. I am looking forward to getting some of our freshly stained pieces onto your showroom floors because I know each piece will be a success.

We have just release some brand new pieces in our accessories and tables departments. First let’s start with the accessories. AdenWorks has just added some brand new mirrors to our ever growing collection. You will notice that 4 amazing mirrors are now being featured in our “What’s New” section. Each of these mirrors is handcrafted creating beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces for your entryway, bedroom, bathroom, dining room or office. These mirrors will compliment various types of décor. So have fun picking out some to showcase on your showroom floor or in your next design project! 

Also in the accessories group you will notice a stunning screen composed of gathered twigs. This screen will grab lots of attention at your store. Each screen is unique to its materials allowing you to create beautiful dividers or wall décor. This piece has already sold out from our recent introduction, but don’t worry more will be arriving this week!

We are also happy to introduce our brand new cobblestone tables which come in various shapes and sizes. The Cobblestone King Table is based off of our Bardean Table. The detail on this piece is absolutely amazing and sure to gather attention. The teak grain is displayed in a remarkable way in the cobblestone pattern. This cobblestone design is also offered in a Cobblestone Round Table for four and then in a Cobblestone Side Table too. Check out these new pieces and let us know what you think!

2009 was a busy year for AdenWorks. We are very grateful to have supplied furniture to stores across the United States and Canada. It was also a privilege to work with our designers for both residential and commercial projects. We want to thank all of our customers for a great 2009. We are looking forward to an even better 2010.

So, as we move into this New Year I wanted to start off by listing some of our most popular pieces from last year. Customers constantly ask me which pieces are currently moving the fastest so I thought it would be helpful to let you all in on that information. Perhaps this list will help you as you put together your next order. The following furniture pieces are listed in no particular order.

Blacksmith Side Chair: The Blacksmith Side Chair came through 2009 with flying colors as yet again it was one of our top selling dining chairs. This chair is quite unique as it is composed from various farm implements. The stunning backside of the chair is composed of wagon wheel spokes flanked by two plow handles which add interest and height to the piece. The comfortable curved seat is also formed from wagon wheel spokes. So, I can’t say I am surprised that this piece ranked high among all of you stores and designers.

Sweetwater Rocker: The Sweetwater Rocker is one of the newer pieces in our collection. I am sure you can see why it was a top seller. This piece is composed of classic traditional lines. The teak grain shows off quite nicely in this piece as well. We have found that consumers have a hard time just buying one of these rockers. They typically fly off the shelves in pairs. If you haven’t tested one of these rockers out in your store, try it. You and your customers are in for a treat!

Next we are off to our Aspen Hub Bistro Table. This bistro has quite a unique look to it as it is handcrafted from restored wagon wheel hubs and wagon wheel spokes at the base of the piece. This piece is quite versatile and great for indoor and outdoor use.

Speaking of bistro tables, our top selling barstool was the Diamond Horseshoe Barstool. Actually, to be fair all of our barstools are doing quite well. AdenWorks barstools are like none other in the teak furniture world. To be honest, a while back we decided that we just weren’t satisfied with our swivel barstools. For months we worked on devising a new system to ensure that our barstools were stable and swiveled perfectly. Well, we found the perfect solution in a custom redesign that now features a steel bearing in each of our swivel barstools. Since that change was made our barstools have grown more and more popular. 

Next we have our Junipine Glass Top Coffee Table with Drawer topping the charts. Now its fellow Junipine Glass Top Coffee Table and Junipine Wood Top Coffee Table with Drawer are also popular choices, but we have found the glass top is the best seller. People absolutely love this coffee table for its size, the beauty of the teak wood, the functionality of the drawers, and the original wagon wheel which can be enjoyed due to the glass table top.

And last but certainly not least is our Bardean Table. The Bardean Table is exclusive to AdenWorks. Each table is prepared and stained here in our warehouse for the highest of quality control. The table top is handcrafted from recycled teak barns from days long ago. The long planks show off the stunning teak wood grain while the base of the table includes two plow handles for extra detail. For years and years, AdenWorks Bardean Table has been a top seller if not the top seller. This table is offered in four different sizes to fit anyone’s décor.

Obviously everyone’s taste is different, but it is critical to know what pieces consistently sell and sell well. When customers order from us for the first time, I am often asked what are most popular pieces are. This past week the top selling item stood well above all the others. With the spring here, everyone is moving activities outdoors to enjoy the beautiful weather. Many people are begining to create outdoor living spaces such as outdoor dining or outdoor bar areas for friends and family to enjoy. This past week our Diamond Horseshoe Swivel Barstool stood out amoung our furniture line. It was the top selling piece by far and our most popular barstool.

 As I said yesterday, rustic furniture was definitely a popular choice at the Dallas and Las Vegas Markets. The rustic teak furniture caught buyers eyes throughout both shows. In our line of furniture, we create pieces that fit within different styles. This way you aren’t simply provided just western furniture or just lodge furniture.Our furniture is a generous blend of rustic, western, transitional, rustic contemporary, and lodge pieces. The rustic look is popular among many different motifs. It simply has to be designed correctly to fit into particular settings. This is why at furniture shows, we attract various types of buyers. Our line is not limited to one style and that has been one of the main reasons people continuously look to us as their provider for all things rustic.Today I am going to expand upon our latest collection, the Aynsley Collection. You may be able to tell by the name, that I have designed this collection. When I look over our line of rustic furniture I am constantly wondering how I can take it to the next level. I want to give our furniture something that will make it stand out in your store, client’s home, or commercial projects.Of course the ruggedness of our rustic teak furniture line is one of the most fascinating aspects of our line. The furniture is made from recycled teak wood and includes antique farm implements in its construction. Therefore, the furniture’s construction, uniqueness, and handmade touches easily make it an eye-catcher to clients.Well, what better way to bring out the ruggedness of our teak wood furniture than to juxtapose it with upholstery. I have stayed within the bounds of rustic by adding brown/white, black/white, and brindle cowhides to the backs of chairs, while the seat is covered in a rich brown leather.With this in mind, I created some dining chairs and a rocking chair that combine the rustic qualities of the wood with the softness of natural cowhide. However, if you have projects or clients that are desiring a different look other than cowhide, we can do custom orders as well.This has been a long-anticipated collection and I am glad to say that we are the first to develop this combination in our designs. I look forward to designing more upholstered furniture in the future and I have a few ideas for the upcoming markets this Summer.

Our rustic teak furniture for western, ranch, barn, lodge, cabin, and rustic motifs were what shoppers were looking for.The upholstered hair and leather pieces from the Aynsley Collection caught the eye of many buyers. Some people were drawn to the lodge settings, others went straight for the wagon wheel western look, and then there were those who found the organic root furniture mesmerizing. Overall the Dallas Market and Las Vegas Market were a great way to keep buyers updated on where our line is headed next.Well, I must say, it feels like forever since I have been able to sit down and write. This is refreshing. I am sure you know how it is. Work can get overwhelming sometimes and in the end you just can’t get everything done. Well, now that the markets have slowed down for a bit, I can get back to sharing tips and thoughts with you about the rustic teak furniture world.Over the next few blogs I thought it would be helpful to you if I went through some of the top sellers from both of the markets. This way you can be up-to-date on which pieces are a guaranteed sell. I try to study people’s purchasing decisions at the markets in order that I can design furniture that people are searching for.
