For quite a while now we have been working on our brand new catalog soon to be released. We have perfected our custom stain and our designs offering you the absolute best.
We are about to debut our new catalog which will feature classic AdenWorks’ designs along with some new and exciting pieces. Our goal with the catalog once again centers around you and your needs. We want you to be able to easily show your clients all you can offer them from AdenWorks. If a customer enters your store and likes your teak products but is looking for something particular you will now have a catalog to help them meet their needs. We know this new catalog will be a huge help to all of you and we can’t wait to get it to you.

As the in house designer, my goal at AdenWorks is to consistently offer you new and exciting designs. Every so often I will place some new items under our “What’s New” section of our website. So, be sure to always check that special section out to make sure you are up to date.
Without further delay, I would like to introduce Sheep Gate, Luxury by AdenWorks to you. The Sheep Gate collection is our brand new line taking upholstered teak furniture to a whole new level. As you may remember a few years back AdenWorks was the first in the industry to offer a softer side to teak furnishings with the Aynsley Elizabeth Collection. This collection features upholstered furniture, specifically chairs with leather and hair on hide products. While we currently display upholstered chairs and rockers only, the Aynsley Elizabeth Collection was envisioned for our entire line. To date, the Aynsley Elizabeth Collection has been quite popular especially with our designers. The Aynsley Elizabeth Collection has been featured in several commercial projects from upscale lodges to restaurants and bars.
So, in typical fashion, AdenWorks decided to push creativity and design to a new level with our Sheep Gate collection. This is another upholstered collection but it’s not your everyday upholstery. I joined together with a fellow designer to dream up this new stunning line of furniture.
Enter into the Sheep Gate collection and discover a new world of luxurious fine furnishings. AdenWorks introduces Sheep Gate, a collection that elevates furniture design to a new level of creativity, imagination and quality. Sheep Gate was developed for those who desire unique furnishings that will add character and flair to both residential and commercial applications.
The collection begins with wooden frames handcrafted from restored teak wood, some of which is a century old. Each frame offers a window into history as old farming implements have been crafted into the design.
The Sheep gate is distinguished by its artistic application of specialty Mouton and Tibetan lamb furs, soft shearling, beaded jewelry and trim, and select nail heads providing endless options for the discerning buyer.
The Tibetan lamb is offered in Natural White, Sandy Blonde, Brown, and Black, while the shearling comes in a variety of colors such as Sandy Brown, Muted Red, Forest Green, Brown, and Black.
Ultimately, each design in the collection is handcrafted from eco-friendly treasures and adorned with distinctive beading and nail heads to create artwork for any space.

From time to time I would encourage all of you to visit our “What’s New” section on our website. You never know when we may throw in a little surprise. Ok, I will just be upfront with you. If you take a look at the “What’s New” portion of our website you will see that we have been busy here in Teak City creating brand new pieces for your customers. We know that during these times it can be difficult to move products, so we are offering you something new and exciting. Now you can offer your customers something they have never seen before.
We have just release some brand new pieces in our accessories and tables departments. First let’s start with the accessories. AdenWorks has just added some brand new mirrors to our ever growing collection. You will notice that 4 amazing mirrors are now being featured in our “What’s New” section. Each of these mirrors is handcrafted creating beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces for your entryway, bedroom, bathroom, dining room or office. These mirrors will compliment various types of décor. So have fun picking out some to showcase on your showroom floor or in your next design project!
Also in the accessories group you will notice a stunning screen composed of gathered twigs. This screen will grab lots of attention at your store. Each screen is unique to its materials allowing you to create beautiful dividers or wall décor. This piece has already sold out from our recent introduction, but don’t worry more will be arriving this week!
We are also happy to introduce our brand new cobblestone tables which come in various shapes and sizes. The Cobblestone King Table is based off of our Bardean Table. The detail on this piece is absolutely amazing and sure to gather attention. The teak grain is displayed in a remarkable way in the cobblestone pattern. This cobblestone design is also offered in a Cobblestone Round Table for four and then in a Cobblestone Side Table too. Check out these new pieces and let us know what you think!

2009 was a busy year for AdenWorks. We are very grateful to have supplied furniture to stores across the United States and Canada. It was also a privilege to work with our designers for both residential and commercial projects. We want to thank all of our customers for a great 2009. We are looking forward to an even better 2010.
So, as we move into this New Year I wanted to start off by listing some of our most popular pieces from last year. Customers constantly ask me which pieces are currently moving the fastest so I thought it would be helpful to let you all in on that information. Perhaps this list will help you as you put together your next order. The following furniture pieces are listed in no particular order.
Blacksmith Side Chair: The Blacksmith Side Chair came through 2009 with flying colors as yet again it was one of our top selling dining chairs. This chair is quite unique as it is composed from various farm implements. The stunning backside of the chair is composed of wagon wheel spokes flanked by two plow handles which add interest and height to the piece. The comfortable curved seat is also formed from wagon wheel spokes. So, I can’t say I am surprised that this piece ranked high among all of you stores and designers.
Sweetwater Rocker: The Sweetwater Rocker is one of the newer pieces in our collection. I am sure you can see why it was a top seller. This piece is composed of classic traditional lines. The teak grain shows off quite nicely in this piece as well. We have found that consumers have a hard time just buying one of these rockers. They typically fly off the shelves in pairs. If you haven’t tested one of these rockers out in your store, try it. You and your customers are in for a treat!
Next we are off to our Aspen Hub Bistro Table. This bistro has quite a unique look to it as it is handcrafted from restored wagon wheel hubs and wagon wheel spokes at the base of the piece. This piece is quite versatile and great for indoor and outdoor use.
Speaking of bistro tables, our top selling barstool was the Diamond Horseshoe Barstool. Actually, to be fair all of our barstools are doing quite well. AdenWorks barstools are like none other in the teak furniture world. To be honest, a while back we decided that we just weren’t satisfied with our swivel barstools. For months we worked on devising a new system to ensure that our barstools were stable and swiveled perfectly. Well, we found the perfect solution in a custom redesign that now features a steel bearing in each of our swivel barstools. Since that change was made our barstools have grown more and more popular.
Next we have our Junipine Glass Top Coffee Table with Drawer topping the charts. Now its fellow Junipine Glass Top Coffee Table and Junipine Wood Top Coffee Table with Drawer are also popular choices, but we have found the glass top is the best seller. People absolutely love this coffee table for its size, the beauty of the teak wood, the functionality of the drawers, and the original wagon wheel which can be enjoyed due to the glass table top.
And last but certainly not least is our Bardean Table. The Bardean Table is exclusive to AdenWorks. Each table is prepared and stained here in our warehouse for the highest of quality control. The table top is handcrafted from recycled teak barns from days long ago. The long planks show off the stunning teak wood grain while the base of the table includes two plow handles for extra detail. For years and years, AdenWorks Bardean Table has been a top seller if not the top seller. This table is offered in four different sizes to fit anyone’s décor.

Well, it has been a crazy time of the year for so many of us. Life just has a way of picking up the pace between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pieces have been tweaked due to our customers’ requests. We developed a custom rich brown stain specifically for our recycled teakwood furniture. We were the first in the industry to design an upholstered line of recycled rustic furniture. All of our designs are created to help our stores and designers sell our furntiure effecitively and effortlessly.It is a pleasure designing furniture for our customers. Dallas company going green, using recycled materials for furniture
DALLAS – Who would have ever thought that old, broken, used farming tools could be transformed into stunning pieces of rustic furniture? Well, over nine years ago, AdenWorks’ President and CEO Richard Dobrey realized the potential in transforming old farming tools such as ox yokes, plows, wagon wheels, feeding troughs, ox carts, fence posts and dilapidated barns into one-of-a-kind home furnishings.
“At AdenWorks, we believe that using recycled teakwood can not only be environmentally friendly, it can also create stunning furniture with a unique look,” Dobrey said. “We have been utilizing recycled farming tools and wagon wheels for years. Dallas-based AdenWorks has been providing sustainable home furnishings for over nine years to retailers and designers throughout the US. The process begins with AdenWorks in-house designer Aynsley Kindig, visionary and founder of the Aynsley Elizabeth Collection. Aynsley enters into the drawing room with sustainability in mind. One of the artists’ recent designs consists of worn stacked fence posts creating a rugged and organic head and footboard ideal for those who greatly appreciate the qualities and characteristics of teakwood in its most natural form.
Sometimes Aynsley will spend hours at a time in the studio studying everything from plow handles to discarded fence posts in order to create innovative designs. The recycled farming tools provide endless possibilities to bring her visions to life.

Once the designs are completed the drafts are sent to AdenWorks manufactures in Thailand for construction. Antique farming tools have been gathered and stored for the eco-friendly furniture production. AdenWorks uses all of the resources available to compose furniture that is environmentally friendly. None of the old farming implements go to waste during the construction. AdenWorks has found ways to craft furniture from all of the sources available. For example, one of AdenWorks most popular side tables is made from an old genuine feeding trough. The trough has been turned upside down displaying its worn backside. Recycled teak has been used to create the legs of this piece so that it can act as a small end table, bench, or foot stool in homes across America. It is pieces like this that prove AdenWorks ingenuity and attentiveness to the various recycled elements available today.

I know spring is here for several reasons. To begin, Texas is covered with the brillant blues of the blue bonnets which blanket the land. Everywhere you look you will see cars pulled over on streets or the sides of highways taking family portraits in the blue bonnets. Yes, I have gotten my blue bonnet picture of the year taken as well. My husband, sister and brother-in-law all got our picture taken in the beautiful flowers.The next sign that spring is here is yet another flower you see popping up all over. Buttercups are also making their mark, lining the highways with their light pink hue. While these are considered weeds, I find them very nice to look at while driving about Dallas.The third sign of spring is that my birthday is right around the corner. Of course when I was younger birthdays were a bit more exciting, but I am still looking forward to spending time with friends and family and celebrating yet another blessed year of life!Spring is here and it couldn’t be a more beautiful time of the year.
